Semiotics is designed to analyze how meaning functions in light of signs inherent in a specific text, be it prose, poetic, oral passage. It is definitely a very interesting field of studies. It has seminal connections with communication and uses stylistics and linguistics as instruments to support its theories. With semiotics it is virtually possible to analyze the meaning of any texts through linguistic signs.
